Echo Review, the way I learn everything

What is Echo Review?

It is a learning activity by redoing what I have learned, and logging all the progress.

It is not just reading, but doing it myself once again

The effective learning is not happening when I read and understand the material. That is mostly happening when I do it myself, and sometimes when I struggle because of many unexpected failures while doing it. In this case the Echo Review means, reviewing the material and also echoing, or repeating, its process once again with my hands. It is a practical way of getting skills around it.

Logging the progress

During the redoing progress, I log every detail of the progress. Especially when the material is larger than I can handle at a go, so I have to pause and resume multiple times. Without the logging, or documentation, I know I’ll lose my motivation in the way. Not exactly sure why, but having logged progress always helped me to finish the material. It seems the logged documents let me do incremental progress, so the logging is essential in my case. Anyway the finalised document is the only tangible output, and that is why I try to make it beautiful. And it is also useful when you need reminding on the same topic.
